Arthur sighed "well this is it then we're going to die, I don't want to die ford." Ford sighed as well, say what you like about the British but their love of sighing is definitely infectious, and after fifteen years ford was definitely well and truly infected. He put his arm around his monkey and sighed again, but this time was joined by said monkey.
"It could be worse" The Alien attempted to lighten the mood, but only succeeded in angering Arthur.
"How Ford? How exactly could this be worse?" He seethed turning an unusual shade of red. Ford coughed nervously.
"Well… they could have read us another poem…" The Ginger haired man replied in a timid voice.
"Oh well that's alright then! We're about to die, my home has been blown to smithereens but at least we didn't get read another poem!" Arthur Shouted standing up and began pacing the chamber. Ford winced, contrary to popular belief he had actually grasped the idea of sarcasm.
"Well… you could always be alone…" he whispered, fiddling nervously with the corner of his towel. Arthur stopped pacing, looked up at ford, sighed yet again and nodded. He padded towards his alien lover and buried his face in a warm comforting neck and rapped his arm around Ford's back. Ford returned the gesture.
"I love you, you do know that?" Ford asked Arthur, The Human looked up and crushed his lips against Ford's. At that precise moment the Air lock opened and the most improbable thing happened, and they were launched into several years of weird, wacky and scary adventures
