I wrote this at midnight, so it's not great. It's a piece of inspiration whilst I'm working on other fics.

"I'm sorry," she whispered, looking up into his chocolate eyes.

He stepped forwards, closing the gap between them and drawing her into a tight embrace. His lips pressed against her hair, rocking her gently in his arms. The moment hangs in the air; silence is bliss. Tenderly he speaks, desperately seeking the all important words. "If I could…"

Four syllables

"I'm not perfect," she reminded him, fiercely holding back the offensive tears that watered her eyes. Her poise is strong, tough; she is a warrior, but more than that; she's a woman and she hurts too. He knows this- never the fighter in his eyes, only the soul and love that surrounds him.

Touching her arm lightly, his fingertips caress the ivory white creamy texture. He tries again, his mind searching for the formation that speaks for his emotions. "No, you're more than…"

"I've fallen in love," he voice was crushed by the soft pink of his lips. Fingers linked, bonding eternally, lasting beyond the century. His skin brushed against hers. "How did I…?"

"Let's finish it this time," her words tickled his ear, breath hot on his neck. His hands linked behind her back, holding her impossibly close.

"If I could put my love into words, I'd write them out every day and leave them at your bedside. I'd sing them in a song and serenade you throughout the cold nights. I'd whisper them in your ear and repeat them to lull you to sleep."

"No, you're more than perfect. Your life defines perfection in my eyes. You complete me with one kiss, with one word, with one glance. If you're not perfect then perfection is merely an illusion that thinkers dream of."

"How did I ever deserve you? I'm the luckiest man alive. To spend one second with you could satisfy me enough that I would die happily, knowing I have achieved the ultimate in life. When you whisper my name I am filled with such a love that it takes me around the world and back to the beginning of time. If I could put me love into words…"

And they start again; a step signifies their progress, a word defines their love, a syllable reminds them of it all.
