As the Kyuubi's claw pierced both the chests of Minato and Kushina from behind, Kushina was almost finished giving her parting words to Naruto. With blood dripping from her mouth, Kushina finished her last words to Naruto.
It was Minato's turn as he gathered all of his strength to hold Kushina's hand and convey his own set of last wishes to Naruto. "Naruto, even though I had just met you for the two hours you were born, I had already grown to love you ever since I had known of your very existence inside Kushina's womb the couple months ago."
The breathing pattern of both dying parents became haggard, causing Minato's voice to gurgle,"You may grow to hate me in the future, seeing that I both wasn't there for you and even put your life in misery." He paused as he saw the small cerulean eyes Naruto had inherited from him. Minato didn't restrain a tear from sliding from his left eye.
Minato continued before his last minuets of life was completely taken away from him,"Naruto, even though I want to see you grow up, I know I can't, so please live your life to the fullest." He smiled as he looked at the crimson locks of Kushina's hair,"Like you mother said, please eat your vegetables so you could grow into a fine man. I can tell that your going to have you mother's personality. Just don't go around beating people up when they flair up your temper." He laughed when Kushina squeezed his hand as a warning.
He looked at Kushina with a smirk. Even at a time like this, she had the will to fight back. "Also, if you do happen to stay up late at night, make sure it's about training. Keeping your hygiene and staying warm are very good for you, but if you can't do these things sometimes, just make sure to stay healthy. Having good connections with people is good, but making friends that you can trust is even better, Naruto. Make up your own virtues that you can follow easily. And, if you do have the chance to meet Jiraiya-sensei, please try to tolerate his perverted ways."
Kushina weakly squeezed his hand this time as she barely whispered,"You just told him the opposite of what I had told him, Minato. Jiraiya'll rub off all his perverted way on my little boy."
Minato let out a small chuckle, but sighed as he could tell that her time was almost up by how weakly Kushina squeezed his hand. He gave Kushina a reply by squeezing her hand. Minato's voice chipped when he was closing to his last words,"There's only so much more time that I could stay here with you, Naruto. Even though I want to be with you together with your mother to see you throughout your life," Minato closed his eyes,"please cherish yourself and be the light to others and yourself."
Minato started,"Throughout the difficulties that naturally come in life..." With their last moments of breath, both Minato and Kushina finished,"Just remember, we love you."
