I always wonder how he knows about her tattoo, I think they were together, which would also explain how her death had such an affect on him.
Well, this is an established relationship fic, and contains slight spoilers, but then if you havent seen the episode Im taking about then I demand you go and watch every episode that Sasha Alexander stars in !

"Any more tattoos?", Gibbs asks
"Just the rose on Kate's butt", Tony smugly informs him
"It's not a rose", Gibbs states, rather happily
Kate looks shocked at him, How dare he tell them? How dare he say that !
*Flashback*
Jethro comes home after a long days work. Kate had moved in with him a week ago, and she had taken today off, saying that she had had to go to the doctors.
Truth be told she hadnt actually gone to the doctors, it was just an excuse.
"Kate", He called out to her
She smiled, she was lying seductively across the workbench in his basement, knowing it would be the first place he went.
She was wearing a matching bra and thong set, which was black with a red lace trim, and she was also wearing her black 5-inch stilletoes.
"Down here Jethro!"
He walked down the stairs leading to the basement, first noticing the fact that it was only by the candles, and then seeing her there, he smirked, and thought to himself This is going to be a great night
"About time Jethro, I was starting to think you werent coming"
He walked over to her, kissing her softly.
"Like Id stand you up"
"I have a surprise for you Jethro"
"Really? What is it?"
She pushed him back slightly, so she could stand up.
She moved the thong down slightly to reveal a new tattoo, it was beside her hip bone. It was simple yet elegant. His name was enscribed, in a curly black font. A new tattoo, a branding, of his name 'Jethro'.
He smiled and ran his finger of it, causing her to flinch slightly.
"Sorry"
"Its Ok"
"Does it hurt?"
"A little"
"I love it"
"Im glad"
