Tork awoke with a jerk as his alarm clock went off. Today was the day that he went to start his training as a field agent drifter. As he jumped in the shower he thought back to three days ago. He had just finished the grueling training course, and all the trainees had been called in to a special meeting. When the drill sergeants opened the door and walked in everyone's attention was immediately drawn to the man with them. He had jet-black hair that was in a marine style cut but long on the top and dark sunglasses. He was about 6' 1 and was very muscular. Everyone was wondering who he was and what he was doing there. Suddenly the senior drill sergeant said if I call out your name you are to go to the board where you were given your assignments where sergeant Lee will be to give you instructions, if you are called by sergeant Todd you are to go to the back to the barracks, and if you are not called by any of us you are to stay here with Mr. Wylde and me. As the names rang out Tork's team that he worked with slowly began to disappear until all that remain was himself. When the names stopped he looked around to see that there was only four others in the room with him. Kevin Riley, Brad Demarco, and Kell Hudson. Sergeant stepped forward and addressed us. Congratulations you four, you have been selected to train under the best drifters in the world, Mr. Wylde and his partners Rachel Chavarria, Serenity Wheeler and Jason Hummel. Mr Wylde stepped forward. Hello everyone I'm Kurt Wylde and I will be taking you to meet you new team in three days. However right now I want you to get a good look at the men and woman around you, they are going to be your coworkers, you friends and your family. You will be forced to live a double life from now on. Your immediate family will be the only ones if anyone to know that yo are a drifter. Your partner will be your everything will live with them, bleed with them, and maybe even die with them. You have three days to say your goodbyes and get ready. For the frst year or two you will be paired with one of my partners or myself. We will teach you what you need to know and how to do it. We will be there for you whenever you need us for anything so do not hesitate to talk with us. With that said, Kevin you will be paired with Jason, Brad will be with Serenity, Kell with Rachel, and Tork will be with me. We will pick you up in three days at your apartments so be ready. Be safe and see you soon and he dismissed them.
With a sigh he got out and got dressed. He put the last of the stuff from his bathroom into his bags. He took on last look around his apartment for the last time, then walked out and locked the door. As he walked down the stairs he couldn't help but wonder what he got himself into.
Kurt was waiting outside for him next to a black SUV type vehicle. He stepped forward when he caught Tork walking out the door and grabbed some of his bags. They placed the bags in the back of the car then Kurt shut the back and open the passanger door for Tork. As they were pulling out Kurt explained that the car was programmed to electrically shock anyone who touches the car if their hand or glove is not programmed into it. Oh Tork replied surprise. They pulled out of the driveway and were on their way.
