Chapter 1- A Walk in the Rain
Jace
Ok, before I say anything, since when does it rain in Camp Half Blood? I thought there was some magical thingamabober that made it NOT RAIN.
But why am I complaining? I like rain. Duh, I'm a son of Zeus.
On the other hand, my girlfriend Serena hates it. Despite her being a daughter of Iris and rainbows and nyan cat, she doesn't like a couple of water specks getting on her perfect little head.
"Ugh! Stupid rain! It's not supposed to happen at camp!" Serena spat.
"Hey, it's not that bad. It's been really hot the past two days. Well, that's probably due to you and your hotness," I winked.
"Shut up!" she slapped me with a wet hand. I could tell she was smiling though.
"C'mon, don't girls like dates in the rain?" I said.
"Not if it ruins my hair," Serena tried to brush the rain drops out of her hair with her fingers, it obviously not working.
"But you're hair looks fine," I meant it, too.
Serena rolled her eyes and started to walk towards the cabins. But it was probably the only time we'd have alone today, so I wrapped my arms around her, both of us dripping wet.
"I like your hair in the rain," I whispered. Then, I kissed her. Just as it was getting good, my stepbrother Mark walked past us.
"What the heck are you two doing? We're supposed to get inside, not suck each other's faces off," Mark said.
Serena turned bright red. I smiled, a grave mistake. Serena shot me a look that read, You smile like that one more time, punk, and they'll be no more face sucking. Ever.
Mark rolled his eyes and walked away. I gave Serena a peck on the cheek.
"See'ya at dinner,"
"See'ya."
