Link: Because he has nothing else to do.
Shush! Now, as I was saying-
Ganondorf: He owns nothing-
Zelda: Except his OCs-
Link: And this AU-
So REVIEW!
"Link, I think that he really is dead now. You don't need to train everyday, like you did before," said Zelda, Princess of Hyrule.
"Zelda, if there's one thing I've learned about Ganondorf in my quests, it's that he is NEVER completely dead. He has this annoying habit of popping up at the most inopportune moments. Kinda like in-laws," said Link, the Warrior of the Light, currently hacking a log to bits.
"Mail! Mail! Mail for a Mr. Link!" shouted the mail carrier. He gave the parcel to Link, did a respectful bow and said, as all of them said, "Well, on to mail!"
Link looked at the parcel with a wary eye, like one might look at a package when they think it might explode on opening.
"Well, aren't you going to open it?" asked Zelda, curiosity getting the best of her.
Link slowly opened the envelope, and slid the letter out. He cleared his throat, and read:
"Dear Mr. Link,
We hope we aren't interrupting anything. Quite a few months ago, ten and a half months to be exact, you applied for the Parent Finding Service(C)."
"Huh, I forgot about that," said Link.
"Shush! Continue reading," ordered Zelda.
Link rolled his eyes. He continued. "Now, we have a cut-off time of seven months, but a specific employee (who shall remain nameless for the time being) took it upon himself to find your parents upon his own time."
"Well, that was nice of him," mused Zelda.
"And you were the one to tell ME to be quiet," said Link, a smile on his face.
"Just continue reading!" said Zelda, a faint blush forming.
Link chuckled. "Well, needless to say, he succeeded! It took him a little time, but he found your parents. We at Weaver Industries would like to come in and meet them. We sent a message to them for them to come in and meet you.
Sincerely,
Freddy K. & Jason V.
Co-founders of Weaver Industries"
"...wow. I thought they would never find my parents. I thought it was a one in a million chance," uttered Link, stunned.
He looked at her. "What do you think we should do?" he asked.
She laughed. "Go and meet them, of course! I've been curious about your parents, too. I wonder what they would be like."
"But for now," she said, with a mischievous gleam in her eye, "I think we should do our 'Happy Dance'."
"You mean it?" he said.
She just laughed, and pulled him to the bedroom.
That 'specific employee' sighed. "Johnny, do you ever think that we'll EVER amount to anything?"
"Dude, that's really deep, even from you," said Johnny.
"But, come on! We're stuck at this deadbeat job, paid just over minimal wage-"
"At least it isn't just under-"
"Forced to go through people's personal information-"
"I thought you LIKED to do that-"
"And find the god-forsaken people who birthed the sorry sap that paid us, or should I say, our BOSS, who then forced US, to do this in the first place!"
"Oh, by the way. This came in the mail while you were on the crapper," said Johnny, setting a letter down on his desk.
"Wait say what?" he said, just coming down from a ranting high.
The guy looked at the envelope. On it, there was only three words:
"TO: RICHARD XION"
So? What did you think?
Richard: At least I'm introduced in this chapter.
True.
Johnny: Do I get to be in other chapters too?
Yes you do Johnny. Yes you do.
Ganondorf: REVIEW!
Or he will get you!
