They say aristocrats have blue blood

But their blood is red like mine

I have spilled enough blood to prove everyone's is red

The aristocrats die the same as the rest of us

Death is such a wonderful equalizer

The all die with tears in their eyes

Wishing they had longer in this world

If loved ones are nearby they tell them to be brave

They all die the same

One death scene is the same as another

The same script just change the actors and location

Do they all learn how to die?

Is that one of their Jellicle classes?

Today children we will learn how to die

You must always have tears in your eyes

But not allow yourself to cry

You must always say if only I had had more time with you

Then tell your loved one what you would have changed

Then you must tell them to be brave for your other loved ones

And that children is how to die a Jellicle death

I suppose Jennyanydots teaches that one

She is very concerned with the Jellicle way to do things

It's not such a stretch to suppose that includes the way to die

She wants the tribe to be perfect

She's as bad as Old Deuteronomy for traditions

Old Deuteronomy refuses to break tradition

Munkustrap is not the Protector so why does he act like one?

Basically because the real Protector cannot be bothered

He'd rather flirt with kittens

It's somewhat unfair that Munkustrap won't lead the tribe

Only his sense of duty keeps him there

I left in protest

Old Deuteronomy is so concerned with tradition

He will destroy the tribe

He made Tugger the eldest son Protector

Because the Protector always becomes the Leader

And the Leader is always the eldest son

Even if the eldest son is a twit

I argued against the decision

But Old Deuteronomy said that it was tradition

Tradition cannot be broken

So my beloved tribe will be taken over by Tugger

And my beloved tribe will be destroyed

They thought I wanted to lead the tribe

But I wanted Munkustrap to lead the tribe

He dreamed of making the tribe stronger

He dreamed of making the tribe proud

Tugger dreams of making the tribe in love with him

Tugger dreams of making the tribe shocked with him

Why is he being given the tribe?

Why is tradition so important?

Is tradition worth the tribe.
