When Narcissa was seven her elder sisters Bellatrix and Andromeda had clubbed together their pocket-money and gotten her an expensive doll, dressed as a ballerina.

It wasn't her birthday and it wasn't Christmas, they got it because she'd been eyeing it up in the shop a few weeks before. She didn't have the nerve to demand it out right like Bellatrix or to complain to daddy until she got it like Andromeda would have. She just stared at it in awe until her mother dragged her and her sisters out of the shop.

Every day she thought about the pretty ballerina, with blonde hair and blue eyes. She drew pictures of the doll, she wrote down all the names that she liked best and went down the list; crossing out the names that didn't fit until she found the name that fitted perfectly, Lila.

Bellatrix and Andromeda watched her pining, over the doll she'd seen once and honestly it drove them nuts. So the brought it for her.

Narcissa is an adult now with a husband and son, but she still has the doll. Because it is all she has to remember the sister who is behind bars and the sister who betrayed their family.

Lila still the pretty, blue-eyed and blonde-haired ballerina is always close by.
