"Wanna know the best part about staying overnight at the Cave?" KF nudged Robin, who in reply, continued to walk through the mountain's halls without the slightest sign of recognition. " Two breakfasts. Two!" the speedster exclaimed with a wide grin.
"KF, isn't that what you have on a daily basis?" the bird joked. A pout appeared on his friend's freckled face.
"Dude! High metabolism!" he defended. There was a slight twitch of the raven-haired teen's lips as they walked into the team's dining room. All fighting was forgotten as KF rushed to the nearest seat and began gorging on what could only be described as a breakfast feast. Every inch of their dining area was covered in heaping plates of pancakes, eggs in every style, waffles galore, steaming sausages and tons of fruit. After Wally had sampled (or rather eaten all of) each food choice, he couldn't fight a feeling of disappointment. He racked his brain, thinking that he had to know what would complete part one of his morning when-
"Where's the bacon?" KF inquired with a frown. Aqualad glanced at an empty plate littered with crumbs of the said food.
"There are no bacon strips," the Atlantean stated.
"There are no bacon strips" Superboy recited, hardly interested in his newfound knowledge.
"THERE ARE NO BACONSTRIPS!" Wally shouted as he reached a state of panic, steadily increasing as everyone calmly stared at him. "WEREN'T YOU GUYS LISTENING, THIS IS AN EMERGENCY?" Artemis walked over to the hyperventilating speedster and shoved a sausage in his mouth. He tilted his head in a questioning gesture and tried not to choke on the food.
"It's ok Baywatch, it's not poisoned, it's just a pig… on second thought, why are you reverting to cannibalism? That's just wrong." She smirked and walked away nibbling on the last bacon strip, which had been hidden in her napkin the whole time.
This is a response to Ansa88's bacon strip challenge. Hope you peeps enjoyed reading this as much as I did writing it. The bacon dialogue is a reference to Nigahiga's epic mealtime parody, which I loved- but do not own. I also do not own YJ, but I do own a Batman t-shirt. :)
