CLIFF HANGER

He dangled against the rocky cliff, toes scrabbling ineffectually at the unforgiving rock. Sam's hand was locked around his wrist.
"Sam," Dean gasped, "Sam, let go."
"No!" Sam grunted as he struggled to pull Dean up to safety.
"Let me go. Y-you can't save me."
"Like Hell..." Sam tightened his hold.
Dean cried out as a gust of wind blew him into the cliff face, jagged rocks gouging wounds into his chest. "S-S-Sammy, it's too late. L-let go."
"Shut. Up."
Dean struggled against Sam's hold, his injured left arm coming coming up in a futile attempt to pry at Sam's fingers.
With a massive roar, Sam reared back and dragged his brother with him, up and over the edge. He grabbed the back of Dean's shirts and yanked him further inland.
Dean lay face down, lungs bellowing. "H-H-Holy crap! H-how?"
Sam dropped beside him. "Don't talk to me."
Dean rolled over and squinted at Sam. "What?"
"Don't talk to me right now. You...you were trying to make me drop you."
Dean swallowed hard. "Yeah. I was."
"Bastard."
"I was just..."
"I know what you were trying to do. Just...don't. Never again."
