Sorry this isn't All Powerful Phantom but the idea was stuck in my head. Here you go, my first one-shot.
Here is the deal. This story takes place a week before Christmas, two years after the Choten's defeat. So far there have been no disturbances on either side of the veil.
Allie had a little accident involving a darkness spell and after a classic magical binge dyed her hair black with a purple streak. Also, with her new age she has an aDDition to her womanly assets.
Ray is muscular from the advanced training he has receive from the sages. He also dyed his hair solid black instead of his natural greenish-brown and red tipped hair to help Allie adjust.
Gabe has joined the football team in order to impress Sasha, who decided that the uniform would make him look "sexually appealing to her adjusted taste."
Allie's father got a promotion at work so to help Ray's family he got Ray's mom a job there with better pay and hours. Unfortunately the promotion also means he has to travel more. When the trip coincides with a special event, like Christmas, Allie has to go with him.
When they realized that they couldn't spend Christmas together like usual, Allie and Ray decided to enjoy the little Winter Festival in Little Tokyo. Sasha had Gabe in the Light civilization all week learning the legends of the Kaiju. So now that they were back they were shocked to find out…
"It is not a date," Said Allie as Sasha (who was posing as Allie's foreign exchange student roommate) insisted otherwise.
"Allison, from my research and field observation with Gabe, all data points to this is in fact an event in which one changes attitude and appearance in order to interact with someone in whom one is romantically or sexually interested in."
Allie blushed at the very thought of doing anything on the marginal lines of sexual with Ray. "Still it is not a date." Allie racked her brain trying to find proof it wasn't. "If it was a date Ray would be stressing out and so would I. Now, if you're done messing with my emotions, please help I pick something to wear."
-Scene Change to Ray's Bedroom-
"It is not a date", states Ray in his new jacket Gabe had gotten him and a pair of skinny jeans. The jacket was solid black in front but in the back it had the symbols of each kingdom on it. At the moment they were trying to decide what Ray should wear under the shirt since he broke the zipper basically right after Gabe got it for him.
"I'm telling you it is," yells Gabe from inside of Ray's closet. "You have been crushing on Allie since you found out she could eat 20 hot dogs in five minutes back in elementary school. Now you're going out with her and you're not even a little excited!?"
"I would be if this was a date but it is not. Why can't I just wear my Paramore band t-shirt. You know, the purple one with the wolf on it."
"I guess that will work," Gabe says as he sifts through the closet to find it. "Now we need to find your wallet."
"Ughh, Gabe I have my wallet and my phone and my gauntlet. I'm fine. Gees, you're worse than a mother." Ray said exasperated with his friend. "I'm going to be fine," he said putting on the shirt and then the jacket. "I'll see you in a while."
Gabe, feeling as though he's fulfilled his duties, pulls out his phone and calls Sasha. "Hey, I just sent Ray out the door. How's Allie doing?"
On the other side of the line you can hear grunting and frustration followed by, "This one says I'm trying too hard."
"Gabe, I'm going to have to call you back." Sasha states as she hangs up.
Gabe places his phone in his pocket and leaves Ray's room. "This is going to be interesting." he says to no one in particular.
