"Promise me one thing Doctor" Sherlock murmured as he kept his gaze on Moriarty, his grey eyes calm and determined. "Anything" the Doctor replied, watching the two men with round hawk like eyes. Everything had happened so fast, it wasn't supposed to go this way. This wasn't what was supposed to happen.

"Keep John safe" his eyes flickered towards Johns unconscious body slumped in the middle of the two men. The Doctor noticed a flicker of… guilt maybe? cross Sherlock's eyes as he returned his gaze to Moriarty.

"Sherlock don't do this. There's got to be another way – we'll figure something out" The Doctor was panicking now. He couldn't lose Sherlock. Not this enigmatic, wonderful consulting detective he'd come to know and befriend. Sherlock swallowed, flicked the safety catch on the gun and pointed it towards the bomb a few metres away.

"Tick tock… Doctor"

"Sherlock, wait! No! Sherlock!"

The final time those eyes met the Doctors.
