BAM!

"Is that all of them?" Kyo asked as he turned to face the purple haired girl next to him.

"Yeah" Kurumi said her violet eyes making contact with Kyo's blue ones. The two headed back inside the school, they just finished their usual patrol to take down any nearby zombies.

"You were great out there" Kurumi said smiling softly at Kyo.

"Thank you" Kyo replied. "You did well too"

The two teens were very close, they had met when Kurumi noticed Kyo fighting in front of the school and went to help him. Ever since that day they would team up to fight the zombies.

"Welcome back, Kurumi-senpai and Kyo-senpai" Miki greeted with a smile.

"Hey" Kurumi smiled and looked around the small room. "Where's Rii-san and Yuki?" Kyo asked.

"They went to the roof" Miki said and the other two nodded.

"Kurumi, I need to talk to you" Kyo said with his usual calm voice.

"What is it?" The girl asked.

Kyo pointed to the hall and took her to a different room.

"Kurumi, if I happen to get bitten I want you to kill me"

Kurumi looked at Kyo with a shocked expression. "W-what?"

"I know could tell Rii-san or Miki to do it but you're the one I'm the closest with" he looked at the girl. "That's why I want you to kill me before I turn into one of those "things" if you can't do it I'll understand"

Kurumi felt like her heart was going to stop, she already killed the one she loved the day the everything changed and now the boy she had developed new feelings for is telling her to end his life if she has too.

Kurumi clenched her fist and nodded. "O-okay"

Before Kyo could say anything Yuki entered the room with her usual happy smile. "It's time for dinner!" The pink haired girl said.

After dinner and when everyone got ready for bed Kyo went out for one last patrol.

Usually the zombies would leave but there were quite a few of them. Kyo lunged at them and earned the attention of the groaning corpses.

Kurumi couldn't sleep, she had a bad feeling about something and quickly got up, grabbing her shovel.

She ran to the wall of desk and stopped, dropping her shovel and her eyes widened in shock at what she saw.

Kyo was kneeling in front of the desk, clutching his bleeding arm. The black haired teen looked up at the girl. "I'm sorry, Kurumi..."

The girl was speechless as she watched Kyo pull out a small knife.

"I know I told you too do this but... I'll do it myself"

Before Kyo stabbed himself Kurumi me stopped him. "Don't please! We don't have to kill you we could cut off your arm!"

Kyo shook his head. "Doing that will only make me a burden" he said and groaned, gripping his arm.

"Then just stay with me! Please!" The girl begged.

"Kurumi... I'm sorry, please forgive me" Kyo was about to stab himself again but Kurumi took the knife away.

"I can't let you do this! I love you Kyo!" Kurumi confessed as she cried looking at him.

Kyo looked at the girl and slowly reached to pull her close. "I love you too" he said and kissed her softly, using the opportunity to take Kurumi's hand and force the blade into his chest.

Kurumi's eyes widened at what happened. "W-why, Kyo...?"

Kyo coughed up blood and looked at her "B-be strong for me and the others, Kurumi..."

With those final words Kyo fell to the ground.

Kurumi me fell to her knees as she watched Kyo's lifeless body rise up.

The infected teen got close to her and Kurumi grabbed her shovel.

She looked at the zombie in front of her. "Goodbye Kyo... I... I love you" she said and swung her shovel.

The next day Kurumi told Rii-san and Miki what happened and told Yuki that Kyo had to leave.

Kurumi went to the roof and prayed to Megu-nee and Kyo, tears falling down her face.
