Rose was free now.
That's what he wanted, wasn't it? Free from danger and constantly running for her life. She was safe.

He was sorry that things ended the way they did. That he wouldn't get to say good-bye the way he wanted
and now never would.

Rose would be strong. After all that's who she was. And he would be stronger for having known her.
