Why was she acting so weird about this? Its not the first time she had run to Eren after a nightmare. She use to crawl in to bed with him when she was nine years old after her parents were killed and she'd been woken up by her nightmares. So why couldn't she bring herself to open the door? Was it because she didn't want to wake him? Or could it be because they're teenagers now? It could look weird to the others an idiotic thought since Eren shared a room with Armin his best friend. And what were they going to do with him there? She had already been standing in the deserted hallway outside his door for ten minutes. She placed her hand on the doorknob only to remove it as fast as she put it there. She starred at the door nod as if it was just going to open itself. Even though it was the middle of the night and Eren and Armin were probably sound asleep. So she stood in the dark hallway. She had run out of her room so fast that she hadn't grabbed even a candle just her scarf. Partly because it was cold in the hall and her nightdress wasn't the warmest thing she could be wearing but also because it made her feel safe. She slowly opened the door to the bedroom Eren and Armin shared. She peered in the open door and saw they were both asleep. Any other nightmare she had recently been having wouldn't have sent her running to Eren in the middle of the night but when its about him its a different story. She slowly walked in the room closing the door behind her. She walked over to Erens bed on the right side of the room quietly she didn't want to scare him. "Eren?" She whispered. He stirred then looked up at her confused. "Why are you here?" He asked her.

"Sorry I had a nightmare and I just…" She trailed off when he sat up. "Don't apologize. What was your nightmare about?"

"You…"

"Well I'm fine."

"Okay…I'll go back to bed."

"You can stay if you want."

"Wont it look weird to the others?"

"Does it matter? Besides I'd like to see the look on Jeans face when he sees you walk out of here in the morning. Now lay down."

"Thank you." He slid over to make room for her on the bed and she laid down next to him. He laid back down facing away from her. "Let me know if you need anything." He told her.

"Thank you."
"Don't thank me. Its the least I can do after you've done the same thing for me so many times."

She laid there for a few minutes wide awake listening to the three of their breathing. "Eren?"

"Hmm?"

"Sorry."

"About?"

"Waking you."

"Don't be." He rolled over to face her. "I don't want you to just sit in your room upset."

"Okay."

"I'm not one that should be sorry. I was a jerk to you today."

"Its fine. I don't care."

"Its not fine you hadn't done anything wrong. I was mad at Jean but yelled at you."

"I don't mind."

"You're gonna be able to sleep right? It wasn't that bad of a nightmare was it?"

"Um…I…"
"I'm fine. So go back to sleep." He she running his hand through her hair. "Why are you being so nice to me?" She asked him a hint of confusion in her voice.

"We're friends aren't we?"

"Yeah you just usually don't act like this."

"I know but…I'm trying to be nicer to you."

"I can tell."

"Really?"

"Yeah of course I can."

"Well I'm glad." He moved him hand to her back and moved her closer to him. "You need to go back to sleep. We've got training in the morning and you know Levi won't go easy on you cause you had a bad dream."

"I know." She wrapped her arm around his neck and laid her head as close to his chest as she could listening to his heartbeat. "Goodnight Mikasa."

"Good night Eren." She slowly fell asleep listening to his beating hear while he ran his fingers though her hair. She slept peaceful until she was woken be Eren shaking her shoulder while Armin looked through a pile of paper on his desk. "Good morning." Eren said to her. "Sleep well?"
