She smiled, watching the woman beside her lean down to take care of her baby.

Safu wondered if this was to be a little hint of what she could have had if she'd managed to find Shion that day, wondered if she would have fallen in love with her still.

She leaned forward slightly and walked towards her, hoping that baby Shion wouldn't see her today as she leaned against his adoptive mother's side.

He cooed, "Momma," and pointed anyway; Safu watched the glint that hit Inukashi's eyes then as she whispered to him that it would be fine, that she meant no harm.

Safu stared and wished for a moment that she could escape, that she could flee this miserable existence only witnessing the lives of those that she missed or missed getting the chance to know.

'I love you more than I should.' She stepped back, watching the little baby boy stare at her and wondered for the millionth time why she had to live in Dogkeeper's hotel now that she'd passed on.

Safu stared miserably at them, still seeing all that she could never have and felt those old memories remind her of who she used to love, who loved another.

She smiled slightly watched the kid coo as his momma carried him away, holding him so gently; she was like no other.

Safu cried once she was sure that they couldn't see her and felt those old stirrings of a longing for a life by their side though she knew better and was happy for their joy, but every mostly accidental touch brought her back to her daydreams and fantasies about being nearer to Inukashi, about being fully, head over heels in love with her.

She sighed, wiping what she could of of the tears, feeling ghostly mist catch on her fingers, and longed just to not wander this hotel anymore as it hurt too much.

Safu stared at the hotel that grew more beautiful by the life that was inside than by any material means or measures and watched dogs walk past her and was thankful for their owner calling them off the first day though it would never have hurt her.

She sat down, longing for more than just a little hint of what she'd always wanted but knowing that she didn't deserve it; she'd been selfish until her very last day when she'd let things change for herself and now knew better than to be that selfish.

Safu hoped though that they'd be a makeshift family for her before she finally left the hotel; she smiled sadly at the thought of leaving yet didn't long to stay either really.

She waited for a while before she finally stood up and wandered to one of the back rooms to spend the night, quietly becoming used to the wild thoughts that swirled around her; she hoped that her love, the woman that lived here, would continue to have a good day and night as she closed her eyes and pretended that she could finally sleep like she'd often longed for since she'd came here and stayed.
