Hey guys, it's Bauer05 here.
I am so, so sorry that I haven't updated in a while. So to show how sorry I am, here is a Kickin it oneshot.
Enjoy
It was 3pm at the dojo. Kim and I were in the middle of our so far 3 day long spar (none of us could take the other down). So far I was winning. I sent another kick which Kim then deflected. All of a sudden everything seemed to go dizzy and I could feel myself going down.
"YES" I could hear Kim in the background celebrating her victory.
How long till they noticed that I'd collapsed?
I knew why I'd collapsed and to be honest I deserved it for my foolishness. How could I think that I was getting better? It was goddamn incurable disease for Christ sake! I saw the others beginning to look concerned now.
"Jack, are you okay?" Rudy, my Sensei, asked me.
"I'm fine, could you just go to my locker please and grab out the little grey box on the shelf please?" I asked, God, I wish they would hurry up.
"Here" Milton handed the grey box to me.
I opened it up, inside my needle and Insulin were. No doubt they've already figured out what's wrong with me.
"You're Diabetic Jack?" Milton asked me, well it was more of a statement.
"Yeah, type 1, it sucks" I jabbed the needle into my stomach, relief immediately flooded my system.
"How long?"
"I was diagnosed with it about 3 months before we moved to Seaford. Does this mean you guys would think any different of me?" I knew they wouldn't, but one couldn't help but wonder when someone has just found out that you have an incurable disease.
"Of course not" It was Kim who answered this time, "In fact, it makes me think you're even cooler"
"Thanks guys, hey, wanna go see Revenge of Zompires, it's on me" A chorus of yes's rang through the building, this was the first time where I felt like my disease wasn't a curse but a way for me to help others like me.
