Title: No Puppies Around

Prompt: But there were none to be found.
Characters: Dick, Kaldur

The air duct was tight for Kaldur as he follow Robin down into it. Kaldur doesn't really know why they were chosen to do this mission. Ginger Keegan, age 3, was kidnap three days ago from her house. The father of the child, Abe Keegan, ask for his personal friend for help. The personal friend, Bruce Wayne, supposedly asked Batman for help. Batman sent them.
The team manage to track her down to this cave that had two ways in: a doorway and the air ducts. The doorway was made of steel and had little bells attached to it. The bells makes a ton of noise when they open and closed, as they seen earlier. The team had decided to send two people down the ducts. Robin, of course, was chosen. M'gann had wanted to go but she was feeling a little off today. Superboy was too thick to fit into the ducts. Artemis and Kid Flash started to fight among the two them which would go. Kaldur decided that he would go so they would stop fighting.
"Man, it's hot in here," whispered Robin to Kaldur. "How are you doing?"
"Okay. It's getting really stuffy in here, isn't it?" Kaldur tried to wipe the sweat off his face, but his arm hit the side of the duct. Robin let out a sigh.
"I think I see the grill we need," stated Robin. He kicked the grill open and the two jumped down into a hallway. "I think they need to make their air ducts a bit bigger." Kaldur nodded his head.
"I quite agree. Let find Ginger, and get her out of her." The two slowly start heading up the hallway, ready for a fight. They hear sobbing ahead. The two look at each other with a frown. They find the room that the sobbing is coming from. Kaldur and Robin look at each. Kaldur signals the two of them to go in.
After breaking down the door, the two look at the man sobbing. The man turns to look at them with hope.
"Take her. Take her." The two looked at each in puzzlement. Take who?
"Who do you mean?"
"Where is my puppy wuppy you promise?" shilled a voice. The two boys turn to see Ginger standing there, with tears in her eyes. "I don't see any puppy wuppy." The man whimpered softly.
"Take her away, please I beg you."
"Are you Ginger Keegan?" The little girl noded her head at Kaldur's question. "I'm going to take you home."
"But I want a puppy wuppy. He promise me one was here, but I cannot find one."
"I will take you home," stated Kaldur, looking a bit lost at the crying girl. Ginger finally nodded her head. The guy on the ground started whispering, "Thank you, Thank you. You two are my heroes."
That guy never kidnap a child again, even after he got out of jail.
