Everyone slept quite well that night, knowing well they would need the energy for the trip they were to embark upon. About 10:00 am, a familiar voice was heard through the loudspeaker.
"...ZELL DINCHT, RINOA LEONHART, AND INSTRUCTOR #14 ARE TO MEET AT THE PARKING LOT IMMEDIATELY..." Squall said in his usual passive voice.
"Here we go again...!" Zell said with some enthusiasm as he laced his shoes and ran out the door of his room.
When Squall got there, the others were already waiting for him by his car.
(...Seems like everyone is really anticipating this...)
"You ready to go Squall?" Rinoa said as she fixed her hair.
"...Yeah...get in the car. I'll drive"
With that said, everyone piled in the car and they were off.
The trip to Timber seemed to take forever. Rinoa and him had been talking about something, but he didn't really pay attention as she went on and on. Quistis and Zell sat in the back, looking over their weapons. They had made only one stop for gas the whole way. Finally, after about two hours they passed through the gate to Timber.
"Whoa! Look over there!" Zell said as he pointed to a spot about half a mile away.
The building he pointed at had been completely demolished. Bits and pieces of scrap metal and crushed bricks were all that remained of the old structure.
"We should talk to some of the residents before we head over there." Rinoa said half smiling.
"You mean the Forest Owls?" Zell asked.
"Who else?"
-----
Minutes later, Squall found himself sitting on a chair in one of the rooms while Rinoa talked to some of her old friends. Quistis and Zell decided to stay there with him since they didn't really know them that well.
"So Zell, who was your SeeD instructor?" Quistis asked, trying to keep some energy in the room.
"I'm not sure. I think it was Instructor West, or someone like that." Zell said with little signs of activity.
"Of course, I can always get Squall when someone is talking about how good he is" Quistis said with a smirk on her face.
"...." Squall mumbled
"How so?" Zell questioned.
"Walk up to them and say 'You think Squall's good?... I TAUGHT Squall Leonhart!" she said as she laughed softly. Zell also let out a small chuckle then looked over at Squall who seemed to have not really cared.
"What's up with you Squall? Like, why are you not talking at all? I know you're quiet, but nobody's that quiet!" Zell said trying to liven up Squall.
"...Huh?...Oh...I was just thinking of stuff..." Squall replied as if he had just been woken out of a trance.
"What's on your mind?" Quistis questioned, trying to comfort him.
"...It's just...ever since I got that report from here...I just have this strange feeling...I can't explain it..."
"Well, when you can, tell us. Or better yet Rinoa." Quistis said as Rinoa emerged from the room they had been talking in.
"You guys ready?" she asked.
"Yeah!" Zell said as he followed behind her.
(...Time to check out the destruction...) Squall thought

Well...there's, yet, another chapter down the hatch. I want this story to be really big, so Griever will come up about halfway through this 20-30 chapter intended story. R+R and give me some comments. Happy holidays, and peace. -curbwakz
