Chuck Bass is a big-shot Hollywood actor. He's still the same person though (essentially ...)
Bart lives in NY and does his thing while Chuck has lived in LA. Chuck and Nate are best friends, but they met embefore /emNate met Blair and Serena, so he's never met either of them. Chuck is a really huge star, everybody knows him. This is set in the beginning of season two, but no Marcus, because I hate that guy. Nate and Blair never had sex, and they never got back together at the ball. Therefore, Blair is still a virgin. Lily and Bart never got married, so he's not related to Serena.
Disclaimer: All I own is the plot - although I will sometimes borrow from the show. I don't own Gossip Girl or any of its characters. I don't own Lindsay Lohan either, or any celebs mentioned. I got the idea for the Jeremy and Scott thing from the books, although I'm not sure if those are their names."
Chapter 1
Chuck Bass. The eighteen year old's name was known across the country. He was Hollywood's notorious bad boy. His successful career as a child star on a popular sitcom had propelled into a successful career as an adult. On a business trip, one of Bart's associates pegged five-year-old Chuck as perfect for the sitcom he was producing and the rest was history.
"Despite his home in LA, where he lived alone now that he was too old for a nanny, he spent most of his free time in New York. His father, predictably, hadn't bothered to move to LA with his son, and instead paid him monthly visits while continuing his life in New York. It wasn't as though Chuck was visiting his father in New York anyway. His best friend, Nate Archibald, lived in New York and always showed him a good time. The parties in LA were great, but he didn't have any real friends out here. Everyone was only interested in him because of who he was but none of Nate's friends cared about that. Nate was a real friend, his oldest friend, and Chuck not-so-secretly hoped he would get the balls to go to UCLA in the fall.
Chuck was known as the womanizer. He was only 18 and already giving John Mayer a run for his money. He was known for his drinking and partying. Although it was all technically illegal, and he was careful not to get arrested, it didn't stop all the stories about him that leaked to the press. He always shrugged it off with a charming smile. On talk shows and in interviews, he tried to avoid the topic of his behavior but the public always ate it up. His publicist often goaded him or leaked the stories herself because it was on-brand. Although he wasn't ashamed of his life, he knew every new rumor brought a disappointed phone call from father was known for dressing fashionably. He was known for wearing purple. He was known for bow ties. He was known for always wearing his trademark scarf. It was a big deal if he didn't. When he made appearances or showed up for premieres, lots of fans would show up with his trademark scarf and ask him to sign it. He barely hid his displeasure and it was almost enough for him to discard his signature.

When he made appearances or showed up for premieres, lots of fans would show up with his trademark scarf and ask him to sign it. He barely hid his displeasure and it was almost enough for him to discard his signature. It occurred to him, as he packed for his trip to New York, that even though he'd known Nate for years, he'd barely met his friends. Sure, he knew the lacrosse guys, and the lost weekend guys, but he had never met the infamous Campbell Apartment Serena or Ice Queen Blair. He knew all about Nate's now ex-girlfriend Blair. He'd never met the girl, but he could tell they'd get along. She was a bitch. She planned the demise of poor unsuspecting kids. He was like that too. He relished nothing more than ruining someone who crossed him. Nate had informed him that his entire class would be at tonight's party - at Victrola.
Victrola - the burlesque club Chuck invested in last year. That made headlines. He still remembered them; his favorite remained "Bass Boy Buys Burlesque". But, the club was a success. In fact, he was planning on investing in another bar and was going to find a place during this trip. Showing an interest in his father's world had actually been the one thing to make Bart proud. Truth be told, Chuck liked his father's business and seemed to be good at it. If he wasn't going to take over Bass Industries, at least he could build his own little empire.
Chuck could hardly wait to get off the plane at Teterboro. This party was going to be fantastic. Obviously, the drinks and entertainment were top-shelf, as expected at a Chuck Bass establishment, but this was a killer party in the making. All the guests were Nate's rich friends - people who wouldn't care that he was a movie star and girls whom he didn't need to be vaccinated to sleep with.
Yes, time in New York would be exactly what he needed to relax from his hectic work schedule. He sighed as he saw the pilot announced their descent. He was finally home.
Author's Note: Hello kids! Well, I began this story in 2009, and haven't updated it since 2010 and yet here we are. I have decided to rewrite this thing and finally finish it ... aka I've been rewatching the show as of late and wanted to spend some time in this world. The old chapters were atrocious so here we are with a rewrite. My writing has hopefully improved in the last six years.
Anyway, I'm not sure that anyone is still active and reading on these pages, but if you are, please drop me a line and feel free to let me know what you want to see happen with this story. And, if you remember reading this back in the day - welcome back! I missed you!
Also, I seem to keep having formatting issues, which has been super annoying. But I've been working on fixing them. Stay tuned!
