"Hmmm junk, junk, fan mail, junk,

'You May Have Already Won $100,000' (Hrrrmp how ironic)"

The One and Only Bruce Wayne (a.k.a. Batman to all you clueless ones) was in his study, sorting out his mail and doing what Multi-Billionaires do in their free time. (A/N: How am I to know? I'm not a Multi-Billionaire!!!)

Some time later, Alfred knocked on his door. "Come in," said Bruce. Alfred came in looking a grave. "Master Bruce, I need to speak to you about Master Richard."

"What is it?" asked Bruce concerned,

"Is he sick or injured?"

"Oh no, nothing of that sort," assured Alfred. "It is just that this is the 2nd year that he is with us and has come to think both you and Batman as his father, and his teacher has called; apparently Dick has 'asked the question'. Well, in a parent's life…"

"You mean?" Bruce interrupted worriedly, "yes Master Bruce, the Birds and the Bees."

His feet felt like lead, he had butterflies in his stomach and his mouth was dry. He had already asked Alfred why Alfred himself couldn't do it, but Alfred said that this was a father son thing.

He also gave Bruce advice which Bruce promptly forgot and reminded him that Dick was 10 years old and needed to know.

Bruce had trained with Masters of every martial art, faced the likes of Scarecrow, Two-Face, The Joker and other extremely dangerous and frightful villains, and looked at danger in the eye and laugh ( well, not laugh but you get my point) but nothing could ever prepare him for this.

He opened Dick's door carefully and saw Dick talking to his stuffed Elephant, Eleanor. "Dick, ole' chum" Bruce said hesitantly, "Yes Sir?" came Richard's innocent voice.

Bruce took a deep breath and sat on the edge of Dick's bed. "Come here please, I want us to have a… Father Son talk"

"Ok, Bruce, what of?"

"Ok, Richard, when a Mummy and a Daddy loves each other very much…"

An hour later a resounding "EWWWWWWWWWWWWW!!!!!!!" filled the mansion
