Brennan woke up in the middle of the night breathing heavy and her face wet from sweat. No, not only sweat, tears were rolling down her cheeks and her body was still shaking a little. Booth stirred next to her and opened his eyes. When he saw her sitting on the bed, tears running down her face, he immediately sat up and wrapped his arms around her. Right then the memory of the dream hit her with its full force and she began sobbing in Booth's arms.

"Shhh," he tried to calm her. "I'm here, Temperance." He pulled her closer into his arms to comfort her.

"Shhh," he whispered again, recognizing her breaths becoming heavier.

"Temperance," it seemed like there was no way to calm her, "I need you to breath. Slow deep breaths." He ran one hand through her hair and the other up and down her back. Slowly her sobs became less until she stopped crying but stayed in Booth's arms.

"The grave digger…" she whispered, her voice barely audible but she knew Booth would hear her. "I was back in the car with Hodgins… I thought we wouldn't get out… I thought you wouldn't find us… I couldn't breathe…"

Her voice was shaking. "It was horrible," she continued. "I thought I would never see you again and never get the chance to tell you how much I love you." Again tears rolled down Brennan's face and she sobbed lightly.

"Shhh, I found you. I got there right in time," Booth said. "I'm here now."

It hadn't been the first time that Brennan had that nightmare. She had it over and over again. She was back with Hodgins in the car, buried alive. They were running out of air. Here the dream would change every time. Sometimes they didn't even try to get out of the car. Sometimes they couldn't make it out of the car. Sometimes they got out of the car but they got stuck in the sand and didn't make it out.

"Sometimes we make it out of the car and make it almost out of the sand … but … but we aren't strong enough to get out… and…"She couldn't go on telling him about the nightmare.

"Shhh," Booth gave her a soft kiss on the top of her head. "It's okay, I'm here."

"Yeah, so were you in that nightmare. Her voice trembled. "But you came too late," she broke down again.

She sobbed heavily in Booth's arms. He breathed deeply. "Shhh, Temperance, its over. I got there right in time and I saved you."

Booth knew she was terribly afraid of losing him. Everyone that she loved had left her. "I won't leave you, Bones, I'm here."
