Ino laid in her bed bored out of her mind. She had jumped in the way of Gaara's attack to save Sasuke and now she was sitting here. Now that she thought about it though she was lucky to even be alive. So far her team had come to visit her and even billboard brow had but still no Sasuke. Just then her door slide open.
"Sasuke"she said quickly sitting up even though it hurt. She was shocked when she saw red hair which Sasuke definitely didn't have.
"Gaara what're you doing here"she asked clutching her blanket in fear.
"I didn't mean to hurt you I may not know how you feel physically but I know it isn't a good feeling"Gaara said stepping closer to her bed.
"So if you aren't here to kill me you must be here to ask me where Sasuke is well I won't tell you"Ino said crossing her arms and looking away. Gaara was shocked that even though this girl was obviously afraid she was still protecting Sasuke even when she thought it would mean her life. Ino opened her eyes and looked at Gaara when she heard what she thought was laughing from him of all people.
"You have the wrong idea I brought you this"Gaara said holding a bag out in front of her.
"What is it"she asked looking from him to the bag skeptically.
"Medicine"he said. Ino couldn't help but scoff at him.
"What"he asked.
"First you hurt me then you help me"she said.
"I didn't mean to hurt you Sasuke was my prey not you"Gaara said looking away.
"You listen here bub I don't care how powerful you are if you ever try to hurt Sasuke i'll-"
"So you care deeply for Sasuke does he feel the same"Gaara asked interrupting her.
"Of course he does he…."Ino trailed off when she realized her enemy had come to check on her safety but she hadn't seen Sasuke once. She gasped when she felt something cold on one of her cuts. She looked and saw Gaara rubbing something on a cut on her leg.
"If you hate me I understand but let me help you then i'll leave"Gaara said.
"Sasuke should be here helping me and thanking me not you. You should be the one i'm angry with"Ino said clenching her fists. Gaara continued to treat her wounds as she sat there trying not to cry. Why was he being so nice and why wasn't Sasuke here? Once he had treated all her other wounds he looked to the one on her head. He gently brought his hand to her forehead and started applying the ointment. When he was done he bandaged her head. He was being so gentle and Ino started to cry.
"Huh"Gaara asked looking at her face started to get worried thinking he had accidentally hurt her. "Did I hurt you"he asked afraid of her answer.
"No"Ino said wiping her eyes when she saw the concerned look in his eyes.
"Well then goodbye Ino"Gaara said kissing her forehead before walking towards the window.
"Don't say goodbye people only say that when they go away forever"Ino said.
"So you want to see me again"he asked shocked.
"One day we'll meet again and i'll return the favor"she said.
"See you soon then"he said before jumping out the window. When he left he was smiling because he actually had a friend now a true friend.
"You to Gaara of the desert"Ino said putting a hand on the bandage around her head.
