One thing that Hermione was sure was true just about everywhere, was that summer was hot. She wouldn't have minded much, she supposed, except that she felt as if she was going to melt into the ground where she stood.

"Vhat is wrong?" Viktor asked her.

Hermione rolled the frozen water bottle she was holding over her neck, moaning slightly in relief. "It's too hot," she said softly.

Her face was flushed. Her curls more wild than normal. It was obvious that she wasn't feeling as well as she possibly could. But with things being as hot as they were, no one was going to blame her. Certainly not Viktor.

After spending his school years in what he called "the frozen north," he was used to colder temperatures than Greece. But Hermione had wanted to spend their honeymoon there, and what she wanted she usually got. Viktor couldn't resist the smile she had when he surprised her.

There they were, both unused to the heat, even with a cooling charm. And to make matters worse, their hotel's air conditioner was broken. Viktor was less miserable than Hermione, but only marginally.

"What are we going to do about this?" Hermione nearly wailed.

"Vas thinking about ice cream," Viktor said.

Hermione laughed. "I don't know exactly where to find that, but let's go."

She stretched, reapplying the cooling charm to both of them in an attempt to find some sort of relief. It was better than before, but not by much. Ice cream and muggle methods of cooling down were going to have to work for the time being.
