It's the Thought That Counts
Hermione knew Severus wouldn't like some cheap tourist souvenir. She searched Muggle and Wizard shops alike and finally settled on a magical snow globe. It contained water from Niagara Falls which constantly flowed within the glass. Hermione liked it- it was the only thing that could possibly come close to how beautiful Niagara was in person.
Severus wasn't expecting anything from Hermione when she returned from holidays but he was secretly delighted to receive a gift. He was intrigued by its magical properties and touched by her thoughtfulness.
Unfortunately, the damn thing made him need a pee all the time.
