Closing the distance

Still don't own Naruto.

"Foolish little brother."

You're right. I'm a fool.

I couldn't beat you, though I tried. When I was younger, I emulated you, wanted to be just. Like. Itachi. But that emulation turned quickly to loathing when you killed the clan, murdered your own mother. Or did Madara help you with that?

Nastalgia hits me when you reach out your hand.

"Maybe tomorrow, Sasuke."

"But you always say that!"

How you'd poke my forehead, promising that you'd train with me the following day.

Foolish.

I should have known better. Should have pulled back when I had the chance. But you'r faster than me. Faster, stronger, better than me. I didn't move out of the way though, and you dug your fingers in, wrapping them around my eye and pulling, ripping it out. The pain is near unbearable, and all I can do is scream. I can feel the blood dripping down my face, cascading out of the socket as tears once did years ago.

But, aniki, you're foolish too.

You can't honestly think that I'll hold still while you rip out the next one, do you? I jump away, but I'm at a disadvantage. Your vision may be deteriorating, but I can't see my left side. It seems you don't think of that, though, charging straight in, hoping to claim the rest of your prize.

Our kunai meet, and the battle of strength continues.

I told you, aniki.

This is the end.
