Title: Thanks for the Gum

Summary: Giggle. A kiss. Giggle.

Holy crap

Caroline Julian was not surprised by many things. She'd lived long enough to safely say she'd seen just about everything; or at least everything worth seeing. But standing in the office of one Dr. Temperance Brennan Caroline's jaw was making good friends with the floor.

She had been feeling puckish earlier when she'd ordered Dr. Brennan to kiss Booth or there would be no happy Christmas for her father. And maybe part of her inner mother wanted to see Seeley Booth happy this holiday season; or maybe it was because she was sick of his moping over not being able to spend the holiday with his son.

Whatever it was, Caroline had not been expecting this. Sure, she'd known that there were some interesting feelings between the self-described partners. But this…the electricity in this room could light a hundred of Max Keenan's desired Christmas trees.

When the pair broke apart, Caroline couldn't form words. Her brain was on reload and it seemed, so was Booth's. He was trying to suppress a tiny grin as he shifted uncomfortably.

"Was that enough steamboats?" Brennan asked.

Was that enough steamboats? Hell, girl, that was more like five 'antidisestablishmentarianism's!

"Merry Christmas," Booth said awkwardly, glancing at Temperance.

Caroline's mouth said a few more things that her mind didn't register before she turned on her heel and walked from the office of Dr. Temperance Brennan.

I'm going to need a lot of coffee, she thought as she heard Booth say something behind her.

"Thanks for the gum Bones."

It's really short but I just wanted to write something. The title would be better for another point of view but it was just my favorite line in the whole thing. I hope you like, I LOVED Caroline's reaction to the whole thing; kinda like mine! Lol. R&R!
