A/N: Happy Belated Valentine's Day, and even though I hate Valentine's Day I'll write this, just for you guys and my favorite CCS couple – Eriol and Tomoyo. .;;

Where I was almost famous for almost a day
Eriol chuckled to himself as he sat on the deck of the boat, remember the days when he was in school. He was on his way to America to visit Kaho, who was still studying abroad. They'd been engaged, but broke it off. He sighed as he also remember the year he'd spent in Japan, helping Sakura change the cards. Sakura, his cute cousin Syaoran, and…
Tomoyo.
He almost smiled when he thought of her. It was true, whenever he was with Kaho his mind always managed to drift to Tomoyo. Ever since he'd left Japan she'd been on his mind, and he knew why.

He had almost had her heart, and he knew it. But that didn't cut it for him, all or nothing. With Tomoyo that's how it was, at least. But he knew she loved Sakura.
"Almost…I almost had her…" he murmured out loud to himself.
I almost held up a grocery store
Where I almost did 5 years and then 7 more
Cuz I almost got popped for a fight with a thug
Cuz he almost made off with a buncha the drugs
That I almost got hooked on cuz you ran away
And I wished I woulda had the nerve to ask you to stay
He remember the day he left exactly. ((AN: I'ma screw with the story a bit here. Oo))
Flashback –
Eriol pulled Tomoyo off to the side.
"Eriol-kun, is there something you want?" Tomoyo asked, smiling at him. He almost asked her to come with him.
Almost.
Instead, he just smiled, "I want you to give something to give to my cousin."
"Of course, Eriol-kun!" Tomoyo smiled and took the package from him, "I'll be sure it gets to Li-kun."
"Thank you." Eriol smiled, turned, and walked away.
Almost.
End Flashback -

In truth, he hadn't really known he loved Tomoyo since he had walked away. Seems it always went like that, you turn and walk away then notice you love the person you left behind.

He sighed again.
He missed her a lot now. He didn't want to call her, for some reason.
Here I go thinkin' about all the things I could have done
I'm gonna need a forklift cuz all the baggage weighs a ton
I know we've had our problems. I can't remember one.
He had actually made a list of things that could've changed what had happened. Ask her come with him, call her, not have gone to Japan in the first place…
I almost forgot to say something else

He'd forgotten to say something to her, that day he left. And now he wished he would have said it…

As he turned to walk back to his cabin he didn't see the mass of raven hair disappear around the corner, or hear the small sigh of content coming out of the mouth of the very girl he'd been thinking about.
