She stood on the beach, the sea foam pouring over her feet. She wore nothing but a pair of black shorts and a black cotton long sleeve. Her straight blonde hair blew in the wind and into her eyes, but she made no move to push it behind her ears.

The sun fell slowly into the sea, staining the sky with pinks and yellows, and then it was dark, dark night. No stars. Just a crescent moon.

She still did not move. Her now unseeable dark blue eyes simply stared and stared out at the never ending ocean, as if she was waiting for someone.

Or something.

The girl stood there late into the night. Not blinking, barely breathing.

In the town center, the bell tower rang midnight. One chime. Two chimes. Three chimes. Twelve.

The girl blinked and memory returned to her.

He was not coming. She had waited all night. He had sworn to return that day and that time. And he had not come.

She turned slowly in the sand, still silently hoping he was late. But as she moved farther and farther up the sandy beach, not a sound, especially not the sound she was waiting to hear, rang out.

She had made it to the path down to the beach when the engine struck sound.

She smiled to herself and turned around.

Though it was very dark, she could still see the shape of the box. She could not see the color of it, but she remembered it none-the-less.

She walked slowly down the path and back onto the sandy beach. She waited for him to step out of the box.

The door opened with a slight squeak and the man she had waited eight years to see again, stepped out of the box.

I know it's weird. I just was struck with boredom so I started skimming websites, saw a picture, and started typing. It will get better. I promise.
