After playing around round of Lab Rats with Hodges, Gil left the lab and headed home. Once he arrived there he was surprised to find the door unlock and music coming for the inside. He entered his house wishing he had his gun with him. Upon entering the house he heard sound humming coming from the kitchen. Walking towards the kitchen he was curious to see who was in his house listening and humming to his music. Hope jumped up into his heart thinking maybe Sara had return and this unknown person was her. This hope was crushed as soon as he entered the kitchen and found that the unknown person wasn't Sara but was Catherine.
"What are you doing here?" Gil asked causing Catherine to jump and scream in surprise. After recovering from being scared she turned around and looked at Gil and replied to his question with "Making you breakfast?"
"Why?" Gil asked.
"Everyone needs to eat including you and me." Was Catherine's replied to Gil's question.
"Yes, but why are you making breakfast in my kitchen?" Gil asked still clearly confused.
"I'm trying to be a good friend and be here for you, so I'm making us breakfast. But if you want me to go…" Catherine replied as if the whole situation was clear as day.
"You can stay but I don't want to talk about it." Gil replied coming to terms with why Catherine was her uninvited cooking in his kitchen. Soon breakfast was ready and the two sat down to eat. They sat in comfortable silence until Gil started talking about bugs and other work related subjects. Catherine allowed him to ramble figuring that this was helping him in some way.
After breakfast was done and cleaned up Catherine decided that it was best to leave Gil to get some sleep and she was also feeling a bit sleepy. "Call if you need anything or want to talk." Catherine said as she was gathering her things to leave.
"Thanks Catherine." Gil replied walking her to the door. Once at the door Gil opened if for her and she began to walk through the door but stop and turned to face Gil and kissed him in the cheek. Then she continues on her way out the door, down the path to her car which Gil had failed to notice when he arrived.
