The door squeaked violently as it swung open slowly. "Remind me to put in a work order for that door…" Mr. Miller said as he walked in and flicked on the light, "I have been meaning to do that since last year!" The room looked nothing like it had month before. For the first time in months(and the last) the table that sat against the wall was clean. It was not overgrown with the normal jungle of attendance sheets, failed math tests, sheet music, soda cans, paper clips, instrument parts and other assorted papers. The six red metal chairs sat at the table instead of the being scattered around the room almost meaningfully. The computer sat in the corner, although missing the inch of dust and packet worth of postet notes, it still held the abundance of bad music, stone age computer games, meaningless word documents and the plethora of kindergarten level paint 'master pieces'. Nearest the door sat the copier and for the moment, dormant. Not shooting papers at anyone who attempted to use it for its intended purpose of making copies.
"Wow!" Ethan said as he walked into the room.
"Its clean!" Andy said shocked as he followed closely behind.
"We have a table?" Alex said in shock as began to touch the table.
"The computer is blue not yellow?" Jonathan asked sarcastically as he examined the computer screen.
"I never thought I would see the day!" Brydon said as he pulled out a chair and sat down.
"It only took me two hours to clean the other day." MK said with such pride as she walked in and took a seat between Alex and Brydon.
"Alright guys. So band camp starts in…" Mr. Miller said as he looked at his watch, "Crap, two hours….Well I will just let you guys run this meeting while I go pull out the rest of my hair trying to get ready for the wonderfully fun filled week we have planed!"
"We?" Jonathan asked looking confused.
"And when I say we I of course mean you guys who will have loads of fun stuff to keep us entertained for the duration of the week.." Mr. Miller responded as he walked out of the room and headed for his office. He quickly shut the door behind him.
"Well…and on that note…lets get this started.." Alex said as she opened her back pack and pulled out a vibrant pink binder.
"Well that sure will not get lost in here," Ethan said as he picked up and began to examine the binder.
"That was the point!" she said as she snatched the binder out of his hands. "Anyway, so it was left to us to take care of the plans for teambuilding times this week. Any ideas?" As she had expected, the room fell silent. "Come on guys! Put those brains of yours to work! We can do this," She yelled at them as she began to pase around the room.
"I've got it!" Byrdon exclaimed as he jumped up knocking over his chair.
"Now we are getting somewhere!" MK said as she grabed Alex's binder and began to write down what Brydon was explaining with great excitement.
When he was able to tack a moment to breath, he looked around the room and noticed the great amount anticipation that was plastered on the faces of everyone in the room.
"Alright guys, so how is it going in here?" Mr. Miller asked as he entered the room. "Based on the smiles from ear to ear on everyone's faces can I assume life is good?"
"You have NO idea!" Brydon said as he again began to explain his idea.
