Tears

Summary: Dallas Winston was tuff, he never allowed himself to show any emotion. At all. But after Johnny's death, nothing mattered anymore. Short little drabble. I own nothing as much as I would like to own Dallas Winston. :x

Dallas Winston was tuff, he never allowed himself to show emotion or shed one single tear in front of anybody not even if he was staring at his own reflection. But until he saw the light escape Johnny's eyes, he never saw any reason to cry or feel anything for that matter. Johnny's death seemed to open the door of untouched emotions that Dallas hid away for so long. Dallas held that chivalry belief that men weren't supposed to cry or feel, it was the only beliefs that he followed.

As he waited for the cops to pull their triggers, he could hear the barely audible screams of his friends, but his pulse beat faster and louder, and as the triggers were pulled, and bullets impailed Dallas, tears came flowing down Dallas' cheeks, he was in pain, he has been all of his life. The tears that he shed that night weren't just for Johnny, but for Ponyboy, Steve, Two-Bit, Sodapop, and Darry. The tears that he cried as the last breath of life escaped him were for the resentment he felt towards the kids that Johnny and Pony saved that day.

Tears still rolled down his face as he shut his eyes.
