Aang rasped, "I'm tired, dry, thirsty, and bored" The gang had stopped to get water and resupply in a small village in the earth kingdom when Toph had felt a strange cave in the earth two miles or so into the forest, and wanted to check it out. "I don't know a quarter mile or so. Aang shut it" Toph said in a angry tone. She was suspicious and didn't want her thinking to be interrupted by some stupid whining! They got to the opening of a field, Sokka smiled and Aang sprinted out only to be caught in a loop of rope on the ground and a rock flung at his head. If not for some quick bending on his part he would've had a hell of a headache! " What was that all about?" Katara gasped. "I don't care lets beat it" Sokka shuddered "uh-uh" Toph shook her head "Destination is about in the center of the field, no turning back now". "Wanna bet!" Sokka said in a freaked out manner. "RIGHT AANG HUH HUH, HUUH" Sokka shouted. "Actually Toph's right we should figure this out" Aang said to no one in particular. Sokka began to grovel at Aang's feet, "please oh wise avatar, please let us turn and leave". "shut it Sokka" Katara said. She was replied by a tongue out from Sokka. Suddenly from a tree behind them a shadowy figure stepped out and grabbed Katara "AAAGH" she screamed. "Katara" Aang yelled he jumped up and forward "nobody move." the shadowy figure stepped out to reveal a boy about 14. he had fiery green eyes. "Was that possible?" Katara thought to herself. Fiery green. It was she decided it was. Black hair down to his mouth swished to the side partly, his left eye was mostly covered, and a fairly skinny stature. He wore exotic looking fire nation clothes, or were they air robes? A mix of long white monks clothes and the short red battles where made for a very strange outfit. "don't move or the girl dies" the strange boy said in his toughest voice. "Your lying, you wouldn't kill her" Toph says Aang seems to understand and with that he air bends the boy into a tree. "oof" the boy grunts. " Avatar. Don't make me hurt you" "you.. hurt me..." Aang burst out laughing " HAHA HEHE OH BOY you think... oh my.. This is so funny you couldn't hurt a fly." while Aang was having a laughing fit the boy took stance. He then did a strange movement and Aang gasped, GREEN fire came out of his open hands. "oh my." Katara shrieks. "wow" Aang dodges it narrowly to the left... but sadly stepped into the field, he stepped in a loop and this time the rock hit its mark and Aang blacked out... The boy turned and ran. "Toph" Sokka shouted. "He's in the trees now, I don't know." Toph replied in a easy tone. "What kind of bending was that anyway? The ground felt like a mix of air bending and fire bending both at once." Toph asked. all Sokka could reply was " Yes". So with that they packed up and went back to find an inn they decided they would wait for Aang to recover. Then decide weather or not they wanted to stay and find out who that boy was and what kind of mysterious bending abilities the boy had and weather or not they wanted to persuade the boy to teach Aang the way of fire bending... If the boy was even a fire bender that is!
