~A short note from the author, Bunny:

Yes I'm uploading a new bit of writing that is not Arc-V related, and no it's not a special holiday or anything! Rejoice! This bit of poetry is hopefully the first of many new works from me, celebrating the Pokémon spirit, and the region that renewed it. Today's spotlight falls on Marshadow, a two-foot tall martial artist marshmallow who has long since taken my heart. He's small on size, and currently, known information, but he's big on appeal, so I hope you guys enjoy this darkly comic piece (I think that's the term?). Cheers to Gamefreak for continuing to design new Pokémon, characters, and games.

Lights on the Bayou

Will-o-the-wisps, old legends say

Go flying 'round black-watered bays

In marshes deep, with trees long dead

Where Lunala's light dare not to tread

Traveler, stop!

There's Ghosts ahead...!

~

Stories speak of moonless nights

Where overhead is darkness' might

No creatures dare to stir from sleep

No wind dares rustle and make a peep

Traveler, stop!

And fear not to weep...!

~

For those who're lost, twin fiery glows

Will bob and weave towards where to go

But follow not this helping hand

For ghosts don't walk on stable land

Traveler, stop!

Nowhere to stand...!

~

Many before have met their end

Never again seen by foe or friend

Drowning deep in crawling mires

And their last sight is a pair of fires

Traveler, stop!

That's your funeral pyre...!

~

Many will realize, afore they die

That it's not an ember, but an eye

A creature stares out from the gloom

Then vanishes, when each meet their doom

Traveler, stop!

You can never assume...!

~

Marshadow is the figure's name

And naught but horror wracks its fame

Is it any wonder it hides its face,

When all those who see it die in this place?

Traveler, stop!

Or it's gone without a trace...!

~

A soul pained by terror, wanders lost

For somewhere it can hide, at whatever cost

Unknowingly, its burning eyes spell death

And still, lost travelers soon draw their last breath

Traveler, stop!

...Too late...

You've met your fate~

That's a wrap for this piece ^_^ If you would enjoy more poetry like this, please comment below! Thank you for your time as always! Now to wait a loooong, loooooong time while we wait for the first Marshadow events! *rocks back and forth on heels, holding DS* Soon is never soon enough to be feeding Pokebeans to that lil' ghost puff.

Peace~
