Sirius sat in his chair nursing a coffee cup and waiting for Remus to floo in. He'd already put Harry to bed so there wasn't any threat there. Especially since Remus had been stationed in Diagon Alley dressed as Santa Clause for all of the little wizard boys and witch girls to come sit on his lap and spout what they wanted for Christmas. Not that he really cared about that, but Harry hadn't been allowed to go this year because it was Remus.

Harry had been heartbroken and Sirius had called his favourite cousin, Andromeada, over to watch little Harry while he went to visit Remus alone. He'd all but begged Remus to stop by later and drop off an appology gift from Santa himself because he had been too sick to stop by that year.

So Sirius waited patiently, curled comfortably under the nice blanket that Remus had gifted him last year. He was starting to doze off just as Remus stepped out of the fire, coughing quietly and brushing soot from his bright red cloak. Sirius sat up straighter and put his mug on the table beside him. "Oh thank Merlin." He stood and wrapped Remus in a tight hug.

Remus smiled softly and pulled a shrunk velvet sack from his pocket. The inside had been enchanted as well and he pulled an elegant practice broom from within. "I belkieve this is what Harry would've asked for?"

Sirius nodded and took the broom. He glanced at Remus, "Would you do the honour of wrapping it?"

"It would be my pleasure," Remus took out his wand and muttered the incantation. Within seconds the gift was wrapped in beautiful red and gold gift wrap.

Sirius smiled. "I have something for you." He dissappeared into the kitchen for a moment. Curiosity got the better of him and he found himself standing in the doorway to see what it was.

Sirius turned quickly, seeing Remus he smiled with a small sack of his own in hand. Hw strode over to Remus and pressed it into his waiting hand. "Merry Christmas Rem-" he was cut off though by the crackling, splintering sound of wood. Confused, he looked up and instantly regretted it.

Right there, above their heads, was a blosoming sprout of mistletoe. Sirius looked at Remus, suddenly aware of how the other gawked in awe at the offending plant. When he met Sirius' gaze though, he flushed pink and smiled weakly. "Well I guess we have to kiss now?"

Sirius nodded mutely, not trusting his voice to stay calm enough. In all actuality he'd forgotten completely about these little sprouts that had been charmed a while back with all intention of capturing Remus' lips just once, even if it wasn't a true kiss by lovers. He swallowed quietly and leaned forward.

The kiss was simple, nothing too sweet and nothing too rough, just a chaste kiss that Sirius wished could last a life time. He blinked after Remus who'd stepped into the main room again and was opening his gift. He dumped over a dozen chocolate coins into his hand, effectively dropping some on the floor, and smiled. "You always know just what to give a bloke don't you Sirius?"

"I guess I do," Sirius chuckled. "It's getting late," he said suddenly, "you should get back home so you can get some rest. It wouldn't do to have a grumpy Santa now would it?"

"No," Remus hummed. "I guess not." He smirked softly and kissed Sirius again before dissapearing into the flames again.

Sirius, still dazed by the events of what had happened, brought his fingers up to touch his bottom lip. He smiled softly and wandered off to bed.

Little did either male know that they had been wathced the entire time. Little Harry smirked mischeviously to himself, abandoning his quest to get a glass of milk in favour of nurturing his newfound blackmail material. He settled on his bed and picked up his figurine of a stag before whispering cheerfully to the small toy, "I saw Daddy kissing Santa Clause."
