I own nothing

The night was heavy and the clouds thick ,but something was happening behind the lids of the sleeping Adrian Monk.

For some reason Adrian was on a boat a very large boat with Natalie. There were other people driving the boat but Adrian couldn't see them.He could see as you can sometimes see himself sitting on a plain white table under a star whose stars were perfectly lined up in little rows with the sun centered exactly in the middle of the sky. Natalie was at the opposite end of the table in a perfectly semetrical sparkly blue dress the only thing not semetrical was the way her hair was parted...but that was alright because that's the only uneven thing Adrian Monk can stand. He could see himself straightening his usual outfit over and over and glacing nervously in Natalie's direction. In a very far corner he was sure he saw a ghost a ghost of Trudy dancing with...was that Mitch. Adrian who was watching wondered to himself if Natalie the one in the chair could see what he saw ,but he noticed that himself in the chair did not.

Suddenly a waiter came bby with a plate of food. It was already seperated, but Natalie still leaned over the plate and cut up some of the items into even smaller pieces even though they didn't need to be.

The Adrian at the table had glaced up at her and Natalie immediately froze. Adrian held out his hand to her. The Adrian watching gasped afraid of the germs already ,but he suddenly felt her hand in his even though he could also see her, him and their hands he could feel it too. It was a strange sensation to watch himself on the floor of the boat which by the way was sqeeky clean. He felt her hand on his shoulder and could see himself react to it and could also feel his hand on her waist. Suddenly he was no longer a spectator to this event but he was there. He couldn't see himself anymore which frustrated him. How stupid do I look right now? Why can't I see Trudy and Mitch anymore? These questions rolled around in his brain for a few minutes before he finaly stopped thinking. Suddenly there were no stars there was no floor no moon no food and no table. Just the woman standing before him with her hand in his and her other on his shoulder as they swayed.

Adrian Monk kept staring at the floor certain that he would mess up when he heard her gigling that amazing sound coming from her lips. Her whole face lit up with a smile which made Adrian smile.

He even smiled in his sleep before the very same person in his arms was shaking him awake.

" Mr. Monk!" She shouted suddenly she saw his toes sticking out of his covers swaying around. She let out a small giggle a real giggled and Adrian felt a wave of reality. Nothing was perfect nothing ever could be except for Natalie.

The End
