Hexepta: Mayor Attack 2

Turnabout on the Road

One day Argus Hakan was the Hakan Law Offices reminiscing on the last few days with what happened to his mentor, Karen Foster (not Kylie Rivers, he got hit on the head before the trial started in the last chapter.)

He saw a map on the wall that showed what route he and Karen took to get to the office, which showed him cross the road. Suddenly he heard police sirens!

He ran outside to see the mayor in the middle of the road and he was being hauled away by angry policemen! There was also a detective there.

"I'm the detective, Camille, who arrested the MAYOR!" laughed the man.

Argus was NOT happy to hear this so he walked down to the construction site next to his office. Bob the Builder was there next to a massive crane that had fresh tire tracks next to it that must have been left the night before (because it was raining then). Bob laughed at the pathetic lawyer for not knowing who he was, he was Bob the Builder, the man who built every road in Hexepta!

Argus was like "yeah, okay," then went to the alleyway between the site and his office. He looked through the trash and found a road sign of 50 miles per hour. When he left, he ran into the local scumbag, Upton O'Goode, who demanded money off of him, before Camille scared him away. Camille then told Argus about an incident on the nearby motorway. They went down and found a body, but he was alive. There was also a pole on the path next to them.

With that, Argus went to talk to the mayor at the detention center, he wanted to plead guilty. Argus did not agree, but he had no time to object for the trial was starting! He was shocked it would happen within two hours of the incident but well that's how things happen!

===AT THE TRIAL===

Argus went into the court and met Adrianna Lockheart a mysterious prosecutor with a name that is similar to that of a girl he met when he was 17 (who was also a prosecutor).

Adrianna claimed the Mayor was clearly guilty as she and Camille were witnesses.

However, Argus gathered his thoughts and shouted OBJECTION and the adrenaline was pumping, he revealed that he'd been crossing that road all this time and noone cared. He then called Bob, as he would know if its legal to cross that road or not. However, Bob shook his head, it was illegal. Argus was terrified, but Adrianna called her witness.

It was Upton O'Goode! And he was selling his goods, which were protective charms from the evil Spider Monster. He offered his charms to the judge, who accepted them. He then testified

===WITNESS TESTIMONY===

"I saw the police take the mayor and the victim away"

"Objection" shouted Argus "There's no victim, but I bet you're talking about something else, you are testifying about what happened on the motorway!"

"Yea" said Upton

"You must have stolen the sign from there so you could speed, you are, after all, the culprit!" Argus pointed

However, Upton was ready, he claimed he only picked up the sign so he could bring it to Bob but then he was attacked by a Giant Spider Monster, he survived by hiding under his blanket on the road until it left, then ran away, however he threw the sign in the nearby alley as it would slow him down

Argus objected! He left it in the alley? But Argus found it near the jaywalking site!

Bob screamed! He was onto him! He ran in and screamed "NO! END THIS TRIAL!" but Argus did not stop. "Bob, you are the culprit, you used your massive crane to swap the two roads so when the mayor crossed the road he walked over the motorway which is ILLEGAL!"

"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAH" shouted Bob and he died

The mayor was declared not guilty by the judge and Adrianna raged.

Later, the mayor invited Argus to dinner at his house, it was sure to be delightful!
