The day Sponge-Bob was late for work.
My name is Sponge-Bob Squarepants, I've had some pretty embarrassing moments. Like the time I tried a brand new, blow up "instant muscles" called Anchor Arms. Or the time my best friend Patrick and I sprayed ourselves with invisibility spray and wound up naked in the middle of the Krusty Krab (Where I work). Heck, I even panty raided my boss' mom. A lot of embarrassing things have happened to me. But none quite like the time I did the unthinkable. (Bump, bump bump!) I was late for work!
It happened like this…
I woke up and fed my pet snail, Gary. Then I got dressed and ate breakfast.
Then I went to work, or so I thought. I was walking along when my cell phone rang. It was my friend, Sandy Cheeks.
"Hi, Sandy." I said.
"Hey, Sponge-Bob, I was wondering if you could come practice Ka-ra-te!" She said. Just then Patrick walked up.
"Hey, Sponge-Bob." Patrick said.
"One second Pat, I'm on the phone." I told him.
"But Sponge-Bob, how do you have a cell phone underwater?" Patrick asked.
"Shhhh!" I told him.
"Wouldn't you just get electrocuted?"
"Stop breaking the fourth wall and let me finish my conversation!" I yelled. "I gotta go Sandy." I told her.
"Yes, Patrick?" I asked.
"I just wanted to say hi."
"Hi, Pat, now I've gotta go to work."
"Bye Sponge-Bob."
Then I went forward and ran into Larry the lobster, I had to be at work in 5 minutes.
"Hey…Umm, I don't remember your name?" Larry said.
"Sponge-Bob, ya know, Squarepants?" I told him.
"Not ringing a bell. Anyway, nameless kitchen sponge, I was wondering if you'd measure my bicep, see if it's gotten any bigger."
"Umm, sure…" I told him.
I measured his arm, which was 45in for those wondering.
I was almost there and I was late! I started running as fast as I could. But then Patrick showed up.
"Sponge-Bob" Patrick said.
"Yeah, Pat?"
"What does 'breaking the fourth wall' mean?" Patrick asked.
"I'll tell you later Patrick, I'm late for work."
I could see the Krusty Krab, I was close.
Closer…Closer…Closer…There!
Then I saw it. That horrid sign, the closed sign!
It was Sunday, the one day my boss Mr. Krabs closes the Krusty Krab.
