She sat in the corner with her two best friends. They were sipping their 'girly' drinks, while she had a beer. No point getting drunk when you can't. Her friends were starting to get tipsy, but as usual, she wasn't even close. They had decided to get another round when she spotted him. A tall, dark, very handsome man sitting in the opposite corner. She could just see him through the crowd in the middle of the bar. His corner was dimly lit. If it wasn't for her enhanced eyesight, she wouldn't be able to see his face.
Ten Rounds With Jose Cuervo started playing over the speakers. The bar erupted with cheers and half the people sang along. By three rounds she saw his fingers start to tap on his beer bottle, out of time. The next song was 'Cause The Chicks Dig It. By this time she had decided to abandon her drunk friends and start dancing. She worked her way into the crowd and managed to fend off several half drunk cowboys who got a little too close. It took three songs until she finally made near his corner. She danced to Play Something Country and knew he was watching her. After that she took a break in an unoccupied chair close enough to get a good wiff of him while she sipped her beer.
He watched a girl with her two friends from across the crowded bar. He could tell her friends were already buzzed. They were calling out and laughing, annoyingly, while she sat and sipped her beer. He started tapping his fingers, perfectly in time, to Ten Rounds With Jose Cuervo, one of his favorite songs. Eventually she got up, abandoning her friends, and started dancing with the crowd. She impressed him with the way she fended off the half drunk men who tried to make passes at her. He watched unobtrusively as she danced right in front of him then rested a few tables away. He sniffed to get her scent.
