Kagome's eyes slowly opened. She stared up at the wooden roof of Kaede's hut.
'that's right,' she thought 'I'm back.'
Kagome slowly sat up rubbing her eyes and adjusting to the brightness. She slowly stood up and stretched. She looked over and noticed Rin had laid out her clothes. Sango had let her borrow a couple simple kimonos to wear until she had time to go shopping in town. She smiled, Rin was so sweet. It had been three years sense she saw anyone and she had to say Rin had changed the most. After defeating Naraku, Sesshomaru thought it'd be best if Rin were to live in the safety of a human village, but he would come every month and bring gifts for Rin no matter what. It was strange seeing how much Sesshomaru cared for a human when even the site of a half deon repulsed him. Rin's body had matured as well as her personality. Kaede loved bragging about how well Rin did. She was becoming such a beautiful young woman with chesnut brown hair that matched her big brown eyes which were always filled with cheer. Her body was developing and all the boys in town noticed but Rin didn't even notice with Sesshomaru still in her life. After slipping on her clothes and shoes she stepped outside where Rin and Kaede were cooking.
"Good Morning lady Kagome," Rin said cherfully while handing her a bowl.
"Yes Kagome, good morning. Come sit with us and eat." Kaede said looking up from her stirring.
"Thank you both," Kagome said sitting down "What are you guy's doing today?"
"Lady Kaede is taking me to pick medical herbs to help some of the villagers!" Rin said cheerfully.
Kagome smiled "That sounds great Rin. I was planning on going to Sango's to talk sense Miruko has all the kids today."
The three finished up their breakfast and Kagome head out to Sango's. She waved to the villagers and said hi to all the children. It was great being back. She missed everyone. The village has been so accepting of her in the village. Her gentleness and kindness always put everyone around her in a good mood. It was still hard to believe she was here after all it had only been three days sense Inuyasha. She sighed 'Inuyasha...' she thought. After he pulled her out of the well the others showed up so quickly they barely had time to say hi, then that night her friends had thrown her a welcome back party. Inuyasha slipped out before she could even talk to him. He hasn't even come to see her. She thought when she got back there would still be something between them. She had hoped he hadn't stopped loving her but it looked like he had... She thought about him everyday, she never stopped caring for him or loving him. She would always care. She had been so lost in her thoughts about Inuyasha that she was at Sango and Miroku's house before she knew it. She shut her eyes then opened them with a fake smile as she walked in. "Hi Sango, sorry I'm-" She stopped mid-sentence as she looked up and saw two golden eyes staring back into her own.
