I'm so tired.
I can barely keep my eyes open.
So, so, tired.
...
My half-lidded eyes glide over to the slim form, breathing peacefully on the bed on the other side of the room. His small chest moves up and down in his sleep. Long, feminine eyelashes flutter ever so often, hiding red eyes that make my heart skip a beat whenever they meet mine.
A sleepy smile graces my lips. Itachi's so beautiful when he's asleep. He can't hide his breath-taking smile, nor his amazing features that catch so many peoples' eyes when he passes by. He's in a pure form. My lover, in an unsoiled, untouched, uncorrupted form.
My breathing slows even more, if that's possible. My eyes are so reluctant to stay open, but I won't let them close on the stunning sight before me. I can't miss this for the world.
It takes eons for me to summon enough strength to sit up in the darkness. I inch my way towards the angel laying down, my feet patting the carpet below me. They pause at the edge of his bed and lean, slightly as possible, over the shadow of his figure.
My lips touch his forehead, and his eyelashes flutter once more. In his sleep, or not, because being this tired I can't tell, he whispers my name. "Kisame."
Avoiding touching the mattress, I lean back to my own bed. My muscles collapse, quietly, onto the soft, cold sheet and I pull it up over me. I turn so I can see Itachi. I blink rapidly, twice. Wow.
I'm so tired.
But I don't want to go to sleep.
