Chapter one: Unplugged

The soldiers from Hero's Duty ran out of the game as Mr. Litwak tugged on it's

power cord. Tamara stopped and turned on her heels, looking back at the closing

gate in confusion. She knew the update was scheduled for today, but she hadn't

known her game was going to be unplugged for it. She looked at her watch.

Closing time was in 10 minuets. Oh, well. She'd hang out around Game Central

Station for a while before she left to tell her husband.

Tamara must have re-laced her boots a thousand times before Yumi from

Dance Dance Revolution cried out;

"All clear!" She leapt up and make a break for Fix-It Felix, Jr. She came in just as

Ralph was digging himself out of a mud puddle. Felix came around the building,

saw his wife and his face lit up with honey glows. Tamara smiled slightly at

Felix's cheesiness. He bounced over and kissed her cheek

"Hey, honey. Just about to come visit you myself. What's up?" He asked, seeing the look on Tamara's face.

"Good news and bad news. The good news is Hero's Duty is being updated."

"That's great, Tammy! What's the bad news? "Felix asked, unsure of what she was about to say.

"It was unplugged for the update." Tamara deadpanned.

"What? Wh- H-how long is going to be unplugged?" Felix stammered.

"I don't know. It could be just tonight, or could be weeks before we see it

again." That night, Tamara stayed with Felix. He had built them a little house in

east niceland, so Tamara could routinely stay with him. Plus it cut down on the

nightmares.
