A/N - If you like the dear Marius at all, then it probably wouldn't be a good idea to read this. You've been warned.

I've watched her everyday now since M. Fauchelevant brought me here for her. He found me wandering in the sewers, seeking to die of my wounds.

I had been wandering the street out side their house because of her kindness. She had fed me before and I had come back hoping for another meal. But some curs had found out I was getting food by then and, as soon as I left her gate, they attacked me. After stealing my food and nearly ripping me to shreds, I was left to die - But I dragged myself to the gutter outside her home. She saw me there and begged her father to allow her to keep me.

I've been very happy ever since joining this household. Only one thing bothers me. Lately Cosette has taken to receiving a visitor, one M. Javert. She pays more attention to him than to me! I'm a reasonable dog but she might marry him. Besides, M. Fauchelevant doesn't like him coming here either. Especially when he's describing his lifelong chase of Jean Valjean.

I wonder if he'd go away if I bit him. She loves me well enough that I needn't be afraid of his hitting me with his stick.

I wonder...

Completely stupid I know, but it gave me great enjoyment in the writing. And in the viewing of the *sigh* dear, dear boy as a dog. Cats Rule! Criticize - be harsh. I'm striving for my first Mizzie flame.
