Just a short drabble. Nothing more. Yay Percabeth!

I watch her as her eyes speed back and forth, taking in the meanings of her architectural book. Once again, I find myself absorbed in the image of her reading. If I could choose the one thing I love most about my girlfriend it's the fact that even though it's winter break she still reads. And here we were, in my mom's apartment, on the couch in the living room, on the first day of our school's winter break, and she was reading.

But there was also one other thing that I loved the most about Annabeth Chase.

"Smile," I say.

"What?" Annabeth asks, looking up from her book and scrunching her eyebrows.

"Smile, Wise Girl."

I don't know why I just, all of a sudden, asked her to smile for me.

"Why?" she asks.

"Just... please."

She stares at me as if trying to decide whether I had lost my mind. I think I did though, but not in a crazy way. I lost my mind in a totally she-just-swept-me-off-my-feet way.

Then she lifts up the corners of her mouth, and I feel my heart skip a beat. Suddenly I realize that I am grinning too, and her smile widens, because I was pretty sure my lopsided grin was her favorite smile.

And then, she lets go of her smile and lets her mouth return back to its usual line.

I want to tell her, please continue. Don't ever stop.

She then sighs and continues reading her book. It is only now that I realize the real reason why I asked her to smile: it's because I'm in love with her, and her beautiful smile.
