~_~ Sometimes I get writer's block while trying to write for As Long As It's About Me. So I decided to start one of the 100 themes challenges (one on dA to be exact) to try to help with that. Plus writing about normal people gets boring.
These are mostly Zutara, but there will probably be other pairings and general character drabbles too. Some will be in my modern AUverse, some will be other AU, and some will just be in the almost-canon verse. ENJOI~~~~

Katara hated smokers. Which was ironic, because her boyfriend smoked like a chimney, a cigarette always hanging out of his mouth. Or in this case, held between two fingers as he sat underneath the bleachers at OmaShu Academy's homecoming football game, where Katara happened to be cheerleading.
As the cheerleading performance ended, the blue eyed girl made her way under the seats as well, the familiar smell of smoke leading her to Zuko.
"You missed it," she complained, referring to the complicated choreography that she and the rest of the cheerleaders had been working on for weeks that Zuko had blown off to go have a cigarette.
"I saw it. You didn't break your face when they threw you in the air and you did that flip," he argued; the field was visible from under the bleachers. Katara sighed.
"Fine, you saw it. I still hate when you smoke. It's a disgusting habit."
"Smacking your gum around your slimy lips is gross too, but I'm not stopping you," Zuko said, flicking some ash off the end of his cigarette onto the grass beneath him. "Gum in general is sick, it's all sticky and gooey and it flops around your mouth like a big pink squishy tumor." He shivered, thoroughly disgusted at the very thought.
"What if I quit chewing gum in exchange for you quitting smoking?" Katara tried to compromise, but to no avail.
"No. I like smoking." Zuko inhaled largely and exhaled, blowing a ring of smoke around the girl standing before him. Katara coughed and choked on the cancerous gas. That was the last straw! She smiled sweetly.
"You're right, I shouldn't try to make you give up something you love," Katara cooed, putting her arms around Zuko's shoulders, "Now, hurry up and put that out so we can make good use of these bleachers."
The older boy smirked, happy he had gotten his way. He quickly dropped the cigarette and stomped it out, "Only if you take that gum out of your mouth."
"Of course," the blue eyed teen agreed, taking the big glob of pink bubblegum out of her mouth and holding it in the palm of her hand. The two teenagers leaned into each other, first innocent kisses, but as soon as she knew Zuko was getting into it, becoming preoccupied with making out, she opened her eyes and the hand that was holding the bubblegum. And she mushed it right into his hair.
Zuko stopped abruptly, his eyes snapping open and seeing the dark smile plastered on his girlfriend's face. He let out a rather unmanly shriek, his hands flying up to his precious ebony locks. Upon feeling the sticky substance, he shuddered and made a face, horrified.
"Now," Katara purred, her arms still around his neck, "I'd really like to see you quit smoking, so I won't have to do this again," she brought her face dangerously close to his, "Don't you agree?" Zuko simply nodded dumbly, in shock.
By the following week, Zuko had quit smoking completely. And he had quite a stylish new haircut.
