When Dorothy Parker said, "Beauty is only skin deep. But ugly goes clean to the bone," no one but Dean would really see how right she was.
Sam looked normal. He sounded normal. To the rest of the world, he was normal. But the things he did in the dark, the people he killed, the lines he crossed... Darkness is when Sam's ugly shone through. His skin was beautiful, but his soul was dark. He could live in a world of diversity, while being the most unique. He was all-powerful. He was the master, the leader. He was... evil. People see his beauty only go skin deep. Dean saw Sam's ugly go clean to the bone.
