Blushing Maidens Don't Like People Taking Their Temperature!

"What brand of shampoo do you use?" asked Katsura abruptly.

Kyuubei stared at him in consternation. "Haah?"

"N-not for myself," he said a little too quickly. "El-El- Elizabeth's been getting split ends lately. If she doesn't get a new shampoo brand, her whole body m-m-might split into two!"

Kyuubei tried to ignore the single hair on Katsura's head that split in half as soon as he stopped talking. "I don't use a particular brand," she muttered.

Katsura's eyes widened. "But- but- that's impossible! Your hair is so shiny and soft!"

No one had ever dared to say anything about Kyuubei's hair before. (Except for that Tojo Ayumu, and only when he was drooling over black lace Goth Loli headbands.) No one had ever told her that her hair was shiny or soft before. She looked determinedly away from Katsura and squared her jaw. "I d-don't know what you're talking about." A miniature dust tornado was coming up around her feet as she nervously rubbed her zori back and forth in the dirt. "Hair is just hair, a-after all."

Katsura looked at her intently. "Kyuubei-san, do you have a fever?" He stretched out a hand to check the temperature of her forehead. "Your face is really-"

"HAA!" Kyuubei reflexively slammed her palm into his stomach, sending him sailing into the air. He landed on his head fifteen feet away, collapsed onto the ground and lay gaping up at her in amazement.

Not a hair was out of place on her ponytail.

A tear came to Katsura's eye.

"Teach me, O Master! The way of the hair!" Katsura crawled back to her on his hands and knees, grovleing at her feet. He reached up to clutch at the bottom of her hakama, eyes shining with admiration. "Let me be your disci-"

"HYA!" Katsura was up in the air again.

Kyuubei's ponytail whipped neatly around to her back as she turned to begin walking to the Shimura dojo. "What a strange idiot," she muttered to herself, but the words just didn't have the same effect when her cheeks were still pink.

No one really needed to know that she used Super Rich.

Note: Where is Elizabeth? Out buying the wrong kind of conditioner for Zura. Ahahahaha. Too bad for him. She does it out of spite, you know.

Hope you enjoyed!
