It was true – every time she played with magic water, he was the one who always ended up soaked.

When the little blind girl knocked the Boulder out of the ring in less than five seconds, he couldn't help but feel cheated somehow.

And every time Aang's eyes and arrow lit up, he couldn't help but feel insignificant, blown away by the Avatar's awesome yet unrealized power.

In a world of benders, Sokka appeared – and often felt like – the underdog. He was smart and brave, but he believed his greatest strength was being underestimated.

The underdog always surprises them all.
