Don't own Camp Rock.

Shane.

Shane Adam Gray.

Just the name sounds

so suave, so confident, that

I can see the hint of the

arrogant smirk forming upon

his rough, tanned face.

Compared to Michelle,

or Mitchie, Torres.

Two simple, innocent names.

No middle name.

Nothing.

The name of a

liar.

This was me.

This was real.

And I

hated it.

The fact that I could

dream, but I would never be more than

a fling to him. Flirting with

danger.

And as much as I hated it, I

would never be as good as Tess

Tyler, daughter of TJ Tyler, famous

popstar.

I would never be good enough.

Never.

And as much as I hate to admit it,

I bet he hasn't had a second

thought about me since Camp Rock

ended. Not as much as

I've been thinking of him. The way he would

grin goofily, flicking his dark, black hair away from

his amber-brown eyes.

His voice, oh, his beautiful voice, so harmonic, melodic,

soothing.

He would never give a thought to me, with my

split ends, and muddy-brown hair, my

big, innocent, puppy-dog eyes, and my

thin, wimpy form. My scratchy, high

voice, and my diminishing self-confidence.

He would never give a thought to me, Mitchie Torres. No,

Shane Gray would never --

Ring, ring

Ring, ring

Oh my God.

That was my cell phone.

Shane's number is on the

screen. What do I do?

Alright, I'm going to answer it

now. What? What's that? He --

He's asking me to dinner! He's asking me to

come to dinner with him at a fancy

restaurant! Oh my God!

What? He said -- He just said I was

beautiful! Oh, God. Shane Gray

called me beautiful.

Oh, he's saying something else -- he -- he told me he hasn't

stopped thinking about me! Oh, my God.

Shane Gray.

Suddenly, the name doesn't seem so intimidating

anymore. It sounds more comforting, like

a soft lullaby, or a romantic

love song.

Mitchie Torres.

And suddenly, life

wasn't so bad anymore.

Yargh. I don't like the ending much, but I liked the concept.

In case it wasn't very obvious, it's Mitchie's thoughts after Camp Rock ended, and her romance with Shane. She's thinking about how he probably doesn't like her, and he probably forgot about her, but Shane proves just the opposite when he calls and asks her to dinner.
